I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for years, but I just started seeing a therapist for the first time. After our first session she gave me homework; positive thinking.
Each day she wants me to write down two things I’m grateful for, and why I’m thankful for them. I’ve read about the idea before, by forcing yourself to think positive everyday you can change your outlook to be more positive. The only problem is I forget to do it everyday. Plus I’m not sure positive thinking works as well for bipolar patients as it does for depressed patients.
However she is very nice, seems trustworthy, and has excellent credentials. I’m hoping she can at least help with my PTSD and anxiety issues.
Remember to smile,
